In addition to exploring the realm of Yoga, including Ashtanga, Rocket, and creative sequencing, we will delve into comprehensive training protocols covering strength, mobility, flexibility, skill development, and recovery. Our aim is to equip you with a diverse range of tools and techniques that you can use to approach teaching and practicing Yoga holistically.

English

The program is designed to be challenging yet rewarding, both physically and mentally, incorporating an exploration of the psychological elements of Yoga that complement our emphasis on physical development. Through Satsang, we will delve into and discuss various aspects of psychology and spirituality within and beyond the Yoga practices.

We believe that to teach and practice Yoga effectively you need to use various tools and techniques which provide a more holistic approach. This is why we have put together a training program that covers a range of practices and protocols, including inversions and arm balances, strength, mobility and flexibility training, functional anatomy, patterns, movement, creative and intelligent sequencing, and more.

Miles Mortensen - Lead Teacher

Miles’ curiosity in developing a holistic approach towards a sustainable Yoga practice has led him to explore various training modalities. His primary practice has always been Yoga, but he has been interested in exploring and experiencing the body and its capabilities in different ways and how to feed these into one’s Yoga practice. Since then, he has fallen in love with hand balancing and developed a keen interest in calisthenics and strength training.

Miles did his initial 200-HR training in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa system, followed up by completing over 250-HRs in the Rocket Vinyasa system. His teaching encompasses the structures and disciplines of these Yoga systems whilst creating a playground of exploration, weaving in different influences of inspiration from other practices.

Outside of his Yoga practice, Miles has trained with hand balancers such as Yuval Ayalon (@yuvalonhands), Andrii Bondarenko (@andriibonadrenko, Cirque du Soleil), Sainaa (@london_school_of_handbalance_), and Manuele D’aquino (@manu_d93_), as well as calisthenic athletes Simon Ata (@simonsterstrength), Sondre Berg (@sondre_berg), and Daniel Vadnal (@fitnessfaqs).

Miles now coaches people privately in all areas of their Yoga practice, from developing general strength and flexibility, back bending, but most prominently, handstands and inversions. Miles works to integrate all of these protocols and methods to generate a way of training and coaching that enables his students to empower their practice towards achieving their goals intelligently and progressively.

Tuqui Mancia - Support Teacher/Assistant

Twelve years ago, Tuqui found Yoga, and it quickly became her new lifestyle. She used Yoga to heal from lost connections, grief, and insecurities. This power of healing and connection still brings her to the mat daily. Through the Yoga practice, she became drawn to developing strength and flexibility to support the joy she found in arm balances and handstands.

Tuqui is a 500-hour certified Yoga teacher and an Advanced Rocket Vinyasa teacher. Her personal practice and teaching style combine the traditions of Ashtanga, Rocket, handstands, and strength training. She has practiced and trained with Taylor Hunt (@taylorhuntyoga), David Kyle (@davidckyle), Sainaa (@london_school_of_handbalance_), Miles Mortensen (@milesmortensenyoga), Mark Robberds (@markrmovement), amongst others.

She teaches group and private classes online and in person, has hosted and assisted retreats and workshops, and organises and facilitates Yoga events for international teachers coming to El Salvador. Tuqui combines the Tristana method in Ashtanga, the playfulness and freedom of Rocket, and strength drills in their class to provide a well-rounded Yoga practice for students. She empowers and encourages them to dig deeper into their asana practice and physical body to discover their strengths, face fears and traumas, push through the discomfort, and find acceptance and comfort in the process.
