Forge Within is a 5 night immersive retreat for men ready to shift from performance-driven living to grounded presence, from reaction to responsibility, and from external validation to internal alignment.
Held at Ashiyana, Spain, and rooted in nature and brotherhood, this retreat is about forging a way of being that is capable, accountable, and reliable — guided by values, emotional integrity, and quiet strength.

A Week Focused on Presence, Not Performance
This retreat is not about becoming more productive, tougher, or louder.
It is about coming home to yourself.
You are invited into a slower, intentional rhythm that supports clarity, embodiment, and self-leadership. A week to step out of constant striving and into a grounded relationship with who you are and how you live.
We explore two expressions of strength:
- The strength to advance audaciously — to act, create, protect, and move through obstacles with clarity and resolve
- The strength to retreat with elegance — to soften, listen, and step back without collapse or the need to be right
True strength does not seek approval, applause, or validation.
It is silent, still, and deeply rooted.

Virtue: Living by Your Code
At the heart of the retreat is an exploration of virtues and values — not as ideals to live up to, but as principles to live from.

Nature: Forging Resilience
Nature is both container and teacher.
Time spent outdoors supports resilience, steadiness, and grounded awareness — offering challenge where growth is needed and spaciousness where integration is required.
Through guided hikes, solo reflection, and nature-held practices, you will cultivate trust in your body, instincts, and inner capacity.
Resilience here is not hardness.
It is adaptability, reliability, and inner strength.
Brotherhood: Strength in Connection
The retreat is held within a consistent group of men, creating a powerful sense of community and belonging.

Emotional Integrity & Healthy Expression
Many men have been taught to suppress emotion — especially anger and aggression.
In this retreat, these energies are neither rejected nor acted out. They are understood, felt, and integrated.
You will explore how to:
- Channel anger as clarity and clean power
- Use aggression as life force rather than destruction
- Feel deeply without becoming overwhelmed
- Act decisively without becoming reactive
This creates a man who can move forward boldly — and pause humbly when needed.
What the Week Will Involve
Life at Forge Within unfolds through a grounded daily rhythm that blends movement, stillness, challenge, reflection, and connection.
Days include time spent walking and hiking in nature, allowing the body to move forward steadily while the mind quietens. These journeys cultivate presence, resilience, and trust — without competition or pressure.
Daily movement practices support strength, mobility, and vitality, while helping release stored tension and emotional build-up. Movement becomes a way to inhabit the body fully and confidently.
Meditation and presence practices — seated, walking, and embodied — help regulate the nervous system, sharpen awareness, and develop stillness that is active and grounded.
At times, you will engage in teamwork and shared challenges, exploring cooperation, communication, and mutual accountability. These experiences reveal how you show up in relationship — leading, following, supporting, or withdrawing — and how strength can be expressed through collaboration.
Community and brotherhood form naturally through shared meals, shared movement, shared silence, and shared experience. Over time, the group becomes a strong and respectful container of support.
Each day also includes space for guided sharing and reflection. Sharing is invitational and held with care — allowing honesty and emotional expression without judgement, fixing, or pressure.
Together, these elements forge grounded, resilient men — capable of action and rest, boldness and humility, strength and sensitivity.

Paddy
Who I am ? That’s a question that I suppose we all ask. And it can be a tricky one. I spent years building a life that I thought had meaning but later discovered a lot of it was escapism. ‘Start creating. Stop escaping’ is a short mantra I remind myself of now.
So if I had to say who I am I’d start with an adventurer and explorer. A loyal friend and loving uncle. Fitness enthusiast and a seeker of knowledge. Stoic philosophy, the 5 elements through TCM and male archetypes are some of my favourite areas.
I am a kettlebell coach & yoga instructor leading classes, workshops and programs. I have a passion for creating practices that reach beyond an hour on the mat. I’ve recently developed my skills through a 200hr and 50hr yoga teacher training courses. I have embarked on leadership programs and mentorship courses that have enabled me to step into my potential not only as a coach but a man. I have a community around me built on consistency, courage & connection. I value nature, family and creativity.
Tobie
Tobie
Tobie’s work is rooted in embodiment, integrity, and grounded strength. With a background in Psychology (BSc) and a personal journey through chronic back pain, he came to yoga as a path of restoration – physically and internally.
Influenced by Dynamic and Osteo-Thai massage, Chi Nei Tsang, and fascial release, his approach supports nervous system regulation, resilience, and emotional steadiness. He works with the body as a gateway to presence – helping men move from reaction to responsibility, and from tension to aligned action.
Through Forge Within, Tobie guides movement, breath, embodiment and self inquiry practices that cultivate quiet strength, self-trust, and internal alignment.
He values lived experience over ideology and believes true strength is grounded, accountable, and deeply rooted.
