The Ocean Within
with Klara Püski’s
15 March - 22 March 2026
Here on the shores of Goa, the ocean becomes our mirror, vast, rhythmic, ungraspable, inviting us to dissolve into its quiet depth. Each practice is an act of listening, a clearing of space, a remembrance that the body already holds the wisdom we seek. Carried by the breath, we enter a field of presence where movement softens into poetry, and the heart finds its way back to stillness.

In Goa, the tide teaches us how to move and how to release, a rhythm that echoes through every breath and every posture. The retreat is not an escape, but a gentle returning, where practice unfolds as an intimate dialogue with the body. Here, we meet ourselves with clarity, spaciousness, and quiet joy.
To step onto the sands of Goa is to step into a liminal space, where the vastness of the sea becomes a mirror for the vastness within. Here, in rhythm with the rising and setting of the sun, we embark on a journey that is both outer and inner: moving with the tides, listening to the pulse of prāṇa (life force), and allowing practice to reveal what is already whole inside of us.
Each day begins with the breath — prāṇāyāma — the subtle art of balancing prāṇa (the upward-moving current of vitality) with apāna (the grounding, descending force). As we settle into this dance, the body softens and awakens, opening space for āsana to emerge not as shapes to perform, but as pathways of inquiry. In the warmth of Goa’s light, the mat becomes an ocean, and every posture a wave rising and falling with awareness.
Our practice will deepen through exploration of bandhas, the inner locks that channel energy, and dhyāna, meditation, that reminds us of the silence beneath the movement. These are not abstract concepts, but felt realities that awaken when we listen closely. With each gesture, each breath, we enter into dialogue with the subtle body, the sūkṣma śarīra, and begin to sense its radiance, spacious and ungraspable.
Beyond the mat, the retreat is an invitation into saṅgha – community. We share meals, laughter, and moments of quiet reflection, woven together by the simple joy of being fully present. In this sacred container, vulnerability becomes strength, and the ocean’s rhythm teaches us how to surrender into trust, into connection, into belonging.
At the heart of it all lies remembrance. That yoga is not something to attain, but something to return to a practice of unveiling, of listening, of resting back into the essence of Ātman, the self beyond measure. The Ocean Within is an opening: into presence, into clarity, into the boundless horizon of being.
Ashiyana is a sanctuary nestled in the heart of Goa, where the lush jungle meets the quiet river and the sound of the ocean is never far. Mornings begin with yoga in beautifully open shalas, while the days invite rest by the pool, nourishing meals, or simply time to breathe in nature. Evenings often carry the magic of sound healing, kirtan, yoga nidra or meditation, offering a chance to close the day in community and peace.

INSTRUCTORS

Klara Puski
My path began in movement. Born under the Hungarian sun, I grew up with ballet as my first language, a discipline that taught me both strength and grace. Years later, far from home, I encountered Jivamukti Yoga, and in that meeting something awakened: the recognition that asana could be more than form, that it could be a mirror into the unseen, a doorway into self-inquiry, a way of facing both the light and the shadows within.
Since then, I have been walking this path as a teacher and eternal student, guided by extraordinary mentors and the countless souls who roll out their mats beside me. Through teaching, I have learned that yoga is not a performance but a conversation: between breath and body, between self and other, between the silence within and the world around us.
And in that space, something tender happens. I remember why I serve — not to demonstrate, but to hold space, to listen, to accompany. Yoga, shiatsu, every tool I’ve gathered along the way – they are not separate, but threads of the same weaving. They remind me that my work is simply to be human with others: to feel, to listen, to share.
This is my offering. Not perfection, but presence. Not answers, but an invitation — to discover, together, the ocean within.
