Yoga & Wellbeing holiday
Our Yoga holidays have been our most popular offer since we began in 2006. They include – a choice of beautiful accommodation options, 2 delicious, nutritious buffet meals, 2 daily Yoga classes, and evening activities. Unlike a retreat there is no group schedule other than the Yoga classes, so with our classic Yoga Holiday you can spend time relaxing in our beautiful gardens or on the expansive beach.
Alternatively we have the Yoga Holiday Deep Dive, where you can add a range of tailored wellbeing experiences – 1:1 Yoga, breathwork and meditation; coaching, massage and other treatments – which are designed to support you more deeply on your wellbeing journey. All of our teachers and other practitioners are highly trained, and very gentle, so you will be completely safe and in good hands.
Yoga Holiday ‘Deep Dive’
A deeper exploration of the health-giving power of Yoga and bodywork. Apart from the morning pranayama and meditation session and twice daily Yoga classes you will have at least one massage treatment every day.
The morning session of pranayama and meditation is such a beautiful way to begin your day. Follow this with a dynamic Yoga class at 8:30am in one of our spacious and airy Yoga shalas. You’ll love our delicious, healthy buffet brunch (we’re famous for it!) in our spacious restaurant overlooking the paddy fields and hills behind. In between your Yoga classes, massages, and Private pranayama and meditation sessions you’ll still have time to soak up the sun, go on leisurely walks, enjoy incredible sunsets on our endless beach and perhaps even explore the sights of Goa – local markets, spice farms, Dudsagar waterfall and majestic churches. Afternoon yoga at 4pm is a slower, more gentle class easing you into the evening. The evening buffet meal is an eclectic mix of Indian, Thai and European cuisine, rounded off with ‘Tek’s’ famous desserts. Ease yourself towards bed with our evening activities at 8:15pm including kirtan, meditation, classical Indian music and much more.
Yoga Holiday
A wonderfully relaxing holiday that gives you the freedom to attend one or more of our yoga classes and then do whatever you want with the rest of the day. Our teachers are all highly trained, and very gentle, so you will be completely safe and in good hands. Please remember that you don’t need to be flexible to do Yoga – if your body is a little tight that is a good reason to try Yoga 😉
Start your day off with a dynamic Yoga class at 8am in one of our spacious and airy Yoga shalas. Yoga & Wellbeing holiday
Unlike a retreat there is no group schedule, so you can either spend time relaxing alone or hang out with others. With our classic Yoga Holiday you’re free to do as little or as much as you want. You can attend one or both yoga classes and then do as you please for the rest of the day.
Alternatively we have the Yoga Holiday Deep Dive, where you can add a range of tailored wellbeing experiences – 1:1 Yoga, breathwork and meditation; coaching, massage and other treatments – which are designed to support you more deeply on your wellbeing journey.

Find a perfect, shady spot amongst the abundant flora and fauna for reading, relaxing and contemplating; or walk the vast expanse of beaches and discover the cool, little bars and boutiques fronting the beach. Soul Source Retreat

Tanja will guide you through a variety of practices including soulful flow, restorative practices, meditation, chanting, free flow movement (JourneyDance inspired), journalling and contemplation. The week will become a journey offering you relaxation, a re-set and a reconnection with yourself whilst also resourcing you through the varied practices to return to your life more centred and aligned.
Each day we will meet for morning and afternoon practice, with one day off during the week to make time for outings further afield (or simply more rest). We will enjoy a generous buffet brunch and delicious dinner together at Ashiyana every day of the retreat. In between practices and meals you will have plenty of time to enjoy the beach, make use of the spa treatments, visit the shops and cafes in Mandrem beach village, or simply curl up in a shaded hammock to read a book or have a snooze. You will have as much alone time or togetherness as you wish for. The connections we make on retreat are special, but so is the opportunity for ‘me-time’.

Fire & Nectar – A Soulful Journey through the Elements

There will be a morning and an evening practice each day. Following the rhythm of the day, the morning sessions are invigorating, transformative and cleansing for the mind and body, and the evening practice, more lunar and nurturing, incorporates meditation, yoga nidra and relaxation. Two half days or one full day off mid week to explore the beautiful markets and sightseeing.
Mornings generally at 7:30am we will have a chai tea and fruit before yoga at 8am and brunch after practice. On the excursion days we will change meal schedules to enable free time. Usually we end up having the same all week to free up time, ie light snack before practice, brunch after practice and then dinner after the evening practice. On some days we have an earlier afternoon practice to allow to a swim and sunset gazing before dinner.
Detox
At Ashiyana we believe in detoxing at least once a year. Our lives tend to be stressful, and we’re ingesting toxins through the air that we breathe, the food that we eat, and the water that we drink and wash in. Giving your body and mind time to rest and rebalance is a proven method of disease prevention and promoting longevity.

The Ashiyana Training School has been running trainings since 2010. With hundreds of graduates from all across the world, we are globally recognised for our unique approach to Yoga and Wellbeing.
Our trainings are so much more than just a training, and many view them as self-development courses that equip you with essential life skills at a time when self-responsibility is dwindling, and there is a corresponding explosion in chronic, lifestyle diseases.

We are very excited to offer this training which has been seven years in the making. Chris, Tobie, Charlotte and others in the team have been discussing the need for a whole new approach to yoga teaching and coaching that meets the needs of today’s client. There are hundreds of thousands of yoga teachers, and multiple types of coach, but none of them are being trained to work in a way that embraces the whole of the human lifestyle. Yoga is the perfect system for today’s challenges, but it’s true expression has mostly been lost. Life is complex and stressful for so many of us these days, and there is a profound need for a support system which centres on holistic wellbeing experts who are both full of compassion and also supported by an on and offline ecosystem.
We have created a training that merges the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern therapeutic techniques and cutting edge science. We offer this as an on and offline course – 150hr online, plus a 50hr module at one of our centres. This offline module will take the form of a practicum which allows us to assess you face to face and give the feedback and guidance that will ensure the best possible version of YOU as a coach.

Adorable. Petite. Round.
Adobe is a small, round and cute, little garden room. It has one double bed and en-suite bathroom, and is perfectly suited for single occupancy, or cosy for a couple.
Eco Lodges
Beautiful balcony!
Built almost entirely of wood, the design of these lodges was inspired by magical, Balinese architecture. Each of the three stand-alone structures has an Upstairs and a Downstairs Lodge, with large balconies, wonderfully spacious, antique daybeds, and polished ‘marble’ bathrooms at the rear.
Well Tree House
My log cabin
Perched 3.5m above one of our three wells, this wooden room has the best view over the fields and hills behind Ashiyana. Either for two singles or a couple, the room has a wonderful balcony, and a cute, little bathroom.
Villa Down
Little nest
Situated within the beautiful Villa gardens and overlooking the majestic Mandrem river, this hidden, little room is perfect for single occupancy, or cosy for a couple.
The room has a pretty, ‘galley’ bathroom, and is much-loved by many guests.
Long Cabana
SOLITUDE
The Long Cabana was one of the first rooms we built here at Ashiyana Goa, and as the name suggests the design was inspired by a simple South American dwelling. The spacious room is built of wood, and the bathroom finished in beautiful, polished ‘marble’ walls. Mosquito nets, fans and a lovely balcony with daybed make this a delightful home away from home.
Riverview Down
MANGROVE VIEW
Relax in one of our four rooms on the ground floor of the Riverview building. With our familiar marble-finished walls, these charming rooms have a simple yet chic design.
Each room sleeps one or two people (single, double or twin bed options) and has a ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with great views of the mangrove in front.
Riverview Up
CALMNESS
Our ‘Riverview Up’ rooms are located on the first floor, and all have AC, and wonderful views over the river and the hills in the distance. There are beautiful Buddha paintings over the bed, whitewashed cupboards, and our signature, polished, ‘marble’ walls.
Each room sleeps one or two people (single, double or twin bed options) and has an AC, ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with truly calming views.
Little Dome
Beautifully bijou!
Little Dome is wonderfully characterful with dark pink walls, a domed ceiling, skylight window, and AC. This unique, ground floor room is a perfect example of how beautiful things come in small packages. It has a double bed and smaller, round daybed, and a pretty en-suite bathroom.
There is a private, outside balcony area with potted plants and a comfortable daybed, overlooking the rice paddy in front of the restaurant. Little Dome is most suited as a couple’s cozy hideaway, or for single occupancy.
Garden Room

In a quiet corner of the Villa, our Garden Room enjoys an exquisite view of the gardens and the river – including our Calisthenics area and much-photographed swingbench.
The room is wonderfully spacious, has a cute, curvy bathroom, and an enormous daybed.
Spa View
SERENITY
Elegantly dressed in natural, warm tones with beautiful Rajasthani furniture and antiques, Spa View offers luxurious comfort in serene surroundings. As its name suggests, this first floor, double-aspect room boasts lovely views of both the natural pool and spa on one side, and the magnificent gardens fronting the Mandrem River on the other side.
This romantic room has a pretty, en-suite bathroom, comfortable king-size bed and a sumptuous daybed that is semi-hidden in an alcove next to the bathroom.
Moon Villa
ROTUNDA
Slumber peacefully under Moon Villa’s high, dome-shaped roof and sky windows, which offer views of the moon and stars above. Our iconic, circular room is a standalone building tucked away at the far end of the palm grove, enclosed by lush greenery and flooded with natural light.
This unique accommodation has two large, double beds and an en-suite shower room, as well as a single day bed on the mezzanine level. A spacious balcony looks out over the peaceful river behind.
Lake House
Extravagantly spacious
Extravagantly spacious, our striking Lake House accommodation comprises two magnificent AC rooms on the ground and first floors, with three large, double beds, en-suite bathroom, an additional WC, ceiling fans and antique Rajasthani furniture.
Overlooking a lovely garden area of the palm grove, both of these rooms are very comfortable for three sharing, or luxurious for two! Lake House Up is joined to the Well Tree House at the upper level by way of a wooden walkway that offers a galleried view of the rear of Ashiyana.
Mango Tree House
CHIC ROMANCE
Retreat in blissful, romantic luxury amidst the swaying treetops. Our infamous, wooden Mango Tree House is perched at 3.5m, between the coconut palms, and gently shaded by two old mango trees above.
The semi-open wooden bathroom offers magnificent and memorable views of the surrounding nature whilst enjoying a hot shower. Inside, a grand, king-size bed and spacious day-bed offer bohemian comfort in a majestic setting. A second day-bed on the front balcony boasts beautiful views through the foliage of the mango trees.
Jaipur
BOHEMIAN LUX
Elegant, chic, polished ‘marble’ walls in earthy gemstone tones, sumptuous soft furnishings and carved furniture give our two beautiful Jaipur suites a luxurious, boudoir feel.
Tucked away in the corner of the palm grove, Jaipur Down encompasses the ground floor of an organically-shaped, stone-walled building, with double French windows opening onto a private terrace. Jaipur Up comprises the first floor, with separate entrance and magnificent views from the balcony over the rice paddy behind. Both suites have en-suite bathrooms and two daybeds, and provide serene space to relax, both inside and out.
Jaisalmer
Panoramic nest
Exquisite luxury fused with natural comfort, our beautiful Jaisalmer suite is full of Indian character and charm. With two separate bedroom areas, the suite boasts idyllic views over the bountiful gardens and pool from the second floor of the Villa.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and small balcony overlooking Mandrem River, the other room is more of a living space, with a vast chill-out daybed and a wonderfully high, domed ceiling. A spacious en-suite bathroom has both a shower and large bathtub.
Jodhpur
Blue tranquility
Soothing blue walls, sumptuous soft furnishings and charming antiques make beautiful Jodhpur a refuge of tranquillity, and one of our most iconic rooms. The spacious suite boasts a charming balcony with calming views overlooking the river and palm trees, on the second floor of the Villa.
A king-size bed and large, round daybed accompany traditional Rajasthani furniture and antiques. An elegant zen, stone bathroom offers both a shower and circular bathtub.
Shahi
ELEGANCE REDEFINED
Equipped with beautiful Rajasthani furniture and earthy, Indian fabrics, the vast, open plan living space of Shahi comprises most of the first floor of the Villa, and exudes elegance that is befitting of its meaning (Shahi = Royal).
Grand, French windows lead to a large balcony with beautiful, carved wooden day beds and exceptional views of the Mandrem River and our gardens. Inside, wooden, antique furnishings create a ‘homey’ feeling, with a magnificent carved mirror aside the enclosed sleeping area. A beautiful, spacious bathroom offers both a shower and circular bathtub.

Ayurveda & Panchakarma Detox
Our Panchakarma programs at Ashiyana Goa are comprised of a selection of thoughtfully curated Ayurvedic treatments and therapies, designed to cleanse and detoxify your body, improve your digestion and metabolism, and leave you feeling lighter, healthier and full of vibrant energy.

Considered the mother of all Panchakarma treatments, Basti is a herbal enema treatment that cleanses accumulated toxins from all three doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha, through your colon. Vamana

Private Yoga
An ideal opportunity to work 1 to 1 with one of our experienced Yoga teachers for postural correction, breath awareness and guided meditation. Whether you are new to Yoga and wish to gain a better understanding of the basics, or you would like to explore a particular asana, our teachers will guide you safely. This can often be very beneficial to help you get the most out of our group classes.
Private Meditation
Meditation has enormous benefits for the body, mind and spirit - including releasing bodily tension, easing the mind, and becoming clearer about your heart-felt desires. Learn how to incorporate this powerful spiritual practice into your life through a guided 1 to 1 session with one of our expert teachers.
Private Pranayama (Breathwork)
Pranayama originates from two Sanskrit words; ‘Prana’ (Life force) and ‘Ayam’ (Control), and is one of the eight limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Known to be beneficial for treating a range of stress-related physical disorders by balancing the autonomic nervous system, Pranayama also helps to calm and balance a busy, distracted mind.

Holistic Yoga Therapy is our signature treatment at Ashiyana Goa. With 1 to 1 Yoga-based therapy sessions, our expert therapists work with you to gain a deeper understanding of your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and then create a bespoke practice for you to take away.
Drop-in Yoga Classes
At Ashiyana Goa, we run a daily program of ‘drop-in’ Yoga classes, evening activities and workshops for our Yoga Holiday guests throughout the season. We also welcome ‘drop-in’ guests who stay outside of Ashiyana to join us for any of our scheduled classes.

Ashiyana Goa is on Mandrem Beach.
From the Arambol-Mandrem road, turn onto Junas Waddo (the beach road that runs parallel to Mandrem Beach – a right turn if you are coming from Arambol), and follow it all the way to the end. Walk down the sandy path at the end of the road for approximately 50m and turn left at the Ashiyana signpost to walk over our bridge. Our Reception is immediately across the bridge on your right hand side.
From the Ashvem-Mandrem road, turn down the track signposted to Ashiyana, Mandala and Avalon Huts (this will be on your left if you are coming from Ashvem). Follow the track to the end and enter Ashiyana Goa through our car park. After entering Ashiyana, take the first left and follow the path through our gardens and past the wooden shala to Reception, situated next to the Ashiyana Bridge.
If you would like to immerse yourself in a full Ashiyana experience for the day, we offer an inclusive day package for our external drop-in guests.
Our ONE DAY Pass entitles you to all scheduled classes, activities and meals at the Ashiyana Goa Restaurant on one calendar day.

Sourced from local producers and created by celebrated chefs, the Ashiyana Goa restaurant offers two mouth-wateringly, delicious meals per day; post-Yoga brunch and evening dinner. Inspired by the finest home-grown ingredients, our two chefs, Rathi and Tek, prepare unique, flavour-filled creations that fuse Indian, Nepalese and Thai recipes with western cuisine.
Fresh, triple-filtered drinking water, masala chai, hot ginger lemon and a selection of herbal teas are available by self-service throughout the day.

Your dining experience completes in delight with one of our delectable deserts – our legendary chocolate balls are always a cherished favourite!
Food & Nutrition
We believe that nutrition plays a vital role in our overall health, happiness and wellbeing.
What is often overlooked, however, is that nutrition is not just about what you are eat, but also when you eat, and your mental, emotional and physical state at the time of eating.
Our food is fresh, and wherever possible, organic. We also source our produce locally, and according to the seasons.
We begin our nightly ‘fast’ by not eating late in the evening, and ‘break’ it around 14 hrs later, at 10am. Consuming food whilst our prana levels are high (avoiding late night or early morning), and eating a wholesome, balanced diet that is rich in nutrients,
whilst feeling calm and happy, nurtures us physically, emotionally and mentally.
